How to Deal With Bird Droppings on Your Car

Some people, due to where they are parking the car, have a huge issue with bird droppings on the car. This is a problem since your car will be dirty, it's a health hazard, and things of this nature can actually stain the paint on your vehicle. Find out what you need to do that will help you deal with these droppings on your car.

The first thing that you are going to need to do is to clean up your car. This is something that starts with spraying it down with water. Water has great effect on this problem as it will help to start break everything down. Let this sit for a bit while you spray down the entire car. You need to get a cleaning solution that is designed for this problem. There are cleaners out there that are strong enough to even get off tree sap which is very sticky.

Once you use the solution on it, scrub off your car then spray it down even more. It's best to use gloves during this process so that you don't come into contact with something that you don't want to touch. A car wash will somewhat help with the problem but won't get everything off.

You then need to prevent the bird droppings from getting onto your car in the first place. You could consider parking somewhere else away from all the birds. If this is not an option, there are other steps to follow.

Get rid of the trees or branches that are over your car. If there are branches, the birds will be on them.

Get rid of your bird feeder and bird baths. These are keeping them in your yard. If you want to keep the bird feeders and such then you may have to purchase a car cover. This will help in keeping their mess off your car. However, you will need to wash the car cover at times because it will get pretty bad after awhile.

Watch out for fruit being left on your trees. Birds love this as a food source. Mulberry trees are one of the most common problems.

Get rid of small insect pest problems in your yard. This is another food source for the birds.

Consider using some chemical or physical bird repellents to keep them away from your yard and off your trees.

Bird droppings on your car is a real pain to have to deal with. Find out how to clean up this problem and help prevent it from happening as often to you.
